Remote access without extra hardware:
An embedded VPN service lets you log into the HMI — and passthrough to any connected PLC — from your laptop or phone, without setting up a separate VPN gateway or paying for third-party remote access software. Remote programming, remote troubleshooting, remote parameter changes: all handled from wherever you are.
Cloud storage included at no extra charge:
The PI8150ig stores up to 300 live data points, 100 history data points, and 200 alarm data points in the cloud, with 120 days of retention (or 1 million records, whichever comes first). Your team can view and export that data from a PC or phone — no on-site visit required to pull a log.
IIoT-ready out of the box:
MQTT and HTTPS services are supported via Lua scripting, making it straightforward to push machine data to your own cloud platform, SCADA, or MES system. This isn’t a bolt-on — it’s built into the ig Series architecture.
Control from your phone:
The WECON Smart app (iOS and Android) mirrors your HMI screens on your smartphone, so supervisors can check machine status and respond to alarms without walking to the panel. The app manual and download links are available on the JOFAS website.
Connects to your existing equipment:
MODBUS RTU and TCP are supported as master or slave. Native driver support covers Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, Siemens, Schneider, Omron, and more — the full protocol list is available as a download. If you’re integrating this screen into a mixed-brand plant, it will talk to what you already have.
Connectivity options:
The base model connects via Ethernet. Add 4G and WiFi if your installation is away from a wired network or needs mobile redundancy.
