A 10″ Touchscreen That Earns Its Panel Space
Ten inches gives operators enough room to run a proper process interface — multi-zone status, trend graphs, alarm lists — without dominating the panel door. The WECON PI Series 10″ ig HMI brings that screen size together with cloud connectivity, remote access, and IIoT data capabilities that used to require a separate gateway device. Now they’re built in.
Five variants, one product page — pick what your installation actually needs:
The base model (Cortex A35 1.2GHz, Ethernet only, no cloud storage) covers straightforward remote-control use cases where you just want to monitor and operate the HMI from a phone or browser. Step up to the cloud storage variant and the HMI begins logging data records and alarms off-site at no recurring charge. Add WiFi if you’re installing away from a wired network, or go 4G for remote sites, outdoor enclosures, or any location where running Ethernet isn’t practical. A Cortex A8 600MHz variant is also available for budget-sensitive projects where the advanced connectivity features aren’t required.
Remote access without a third-party gateway:
An embedded VPN service handles secure remote access to both the HMI and any PLC connected via serial passthrough. Remote program uploads, parameter adjustments, and fault diagnosis — all without being on-site. For multi-machine or multi-site operations, this alone saves significant service call costs.
Cloud storage that works on day one:
On cloud-enabled variants, up to 100 live data points, 50 history data points, and 20 alarm data points are pushed to the cloud automatically, with 60 days of retention (or 1 million records). Your team can pull and export that data from a PC or phone — handy for audit trails, production reports, or investigating intermittent faults after the fact.
IIoT gateway built in:
MQTT and HTTPS services are accessible via Lua scripting, letting you push machine data to your own cloud platform, SCADA, or MES without adding a separate IoT device to the cabinet. The HMI does double duty as your field gateway.
Broad PLC compatibility:
MODBUS RTU and TCP are supported as master or slave. Native protocol drivers cover Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, Siemens, Schneider, Omron, and more. If you’re fitting this into a mixed-brand plant or replacing an existing HMI, it’ll communicate with what’s already there.
Smartphone control via WECON Smart app:
The WECON Smart app (iOS and Android) mirrors your HMI interface on your phone, so supervisors can check status and acknowledge alarms without walking to the panel. Remote access also works from a PC browser. App download links and the remote access manual are on the JOFAS website.
